I love to paint from life, especially out-of-doors.  I am always looking forward to my summertime treks into the North Carolina mountains, where some of my most valued times have been experienced and rendered in oil and watercolor.   I love to paint, draw or sketch what apears to be ordinary, and to reveal its extraordinary reality.  My life as an artist is defined by these special events, frozen in time and transformed into my perception of what they are.   Painting brings me into an intuitive space that transcends the hour.  It transports me into a greater awareness of my own internal struggle with relationships and my own personal identity.
